The mountain dwellers built their fortified stone castles on rock precipices in order to offer protection to it's people living in villages below from foreign invaders along trading routes and rivers. As there were no hotels in the former days, noble families were obliged to accommodate guests, of course only those who arrived with good intentions. Visits could last for up to one year and included also the entourage, so guests had to pay according to fixed tariffs. It is interesting that a prince had to pay more than a simple knight or servant. The money was used to build and maintain the castle which included the Knight's Hall, the Treasury, Place of Arms, dungeons, and the Great Hall.

If you become a Mountain Dweller, you will be responsible for bringing strength and protection into the Castle. Everyone will look to you and learn how to face life's greatest challenges, with abilites of swordsmanship, horsemanship, constuction, falconry and forest management. So if you feel you can survive being a Mountain Dweller, please join us for action, adventure, and comradery.
